WHO THE HELL IS ANTHONY MACKIE? AND WHY ISN’T HE NOMINATED FOR ANYTHING!

Anthony Mackie must either have a bad publicist, bad luck, or both! Because a brother that’s been in some of the hottest films this past decade (Million Dollar Baby, Half Nelson, We Are Marshall, She Hate Me …yeah I said it, She Hate Me bitches!) and co-starred in the most talked about film this award season, The Hurt Locker…still gets no love!

And when I say “no love” I mean not even from the Black press (Lance Gross gets more love than him!). It’s not like he hasn’t tried to get his urban accolades acting in 8 Mile, She Hate Me (fuck y’all), and Notorious…he played Tupac for God’s sake! He even tried playing a gay role in Brother to Brother.

Even today, his dramatic role in The Hurt Locker has been recognized by no one. He continuously gets upstaged in his films (McConaughey, Gosling, and this year Renner) and can’t seem to break loose!

Although Anthony should be a household name by now, he isn’t at all (I’ve asked several industry people about him, and they’re all like “Anthony who?”) What does it take for this brotha to break free? Maybe he should do a Tyler Perry movie or date a Kardashian…or dare I say it, Tila Tequila! LOL!

I’m not saying he should throw himself into some scandal….okay, yes I am. We all know in 2010 it’s all about branding and becoming a household name. Sometimes a little personal scandal, nude photo, sex tape, can get you there. I wouldn’t want such a fine actor to get passed on more great roles in the future for someone like Ray J.

So Mr. Mackie, go through your hard drive and send out those pics…we all know you got some, LOL!
