Spikes, who turns 23 tomorrow, was recently caught on video online engaging in sexual acts with a Kim Kardashian look-a-like. Video link.

Terry Watson, Spikes’s agent, confirmed to the Boston Globe that Reebok had yanked an offer for a marketing deal. Watson had previously said that Spikes was embarrassed by the situation.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told ESPN on Wednesday that the league was looking into the sex tape. Spikes could potentially face discipline under the NFL’s personal-conduct policy.

Watson had this to say on Brandon Spikes’s behalf:

“It was something that occurred before he became an NFL draftee and a New England Patriot. I think for anyone it would be an embarrassing situation. Brandon has shown to many people the kind of person he is before and after being drafted in the second round. He’s hoping to put this behind him and looks forward to having a great football season.”

Said like an agent conducting damage control! I really wonder if some of these dudes take timeout to think about what they do before they do it. Apparently not!

Funny how you can gain quite a measure of instant sense once it hits you in the wallet! Spikes’s I.Q. will climb big time after this. We hope!
