Exclusive: Bobby Brown Shopping Life Story - Written By Himself!

It’s no coincidence that Whitney Houston’s death has drawn lots of attention to those who surrounded her during her life and tragic death. I mean who would’ve thought that Bobbi Kristina would save Oprah Winfrey’s network OWN?? Or that networks like ABC would be scrambling for a Bobby Brown exclusive?

Although he’s a pop culture icon in his own right, Bobby Brown’s recent antics have caused renewed interest in his life, career, and bad boy image.

That being said, I have some exclusive inside information on a movie deal that is in the works on the life of Bobby Brown. A script entitled ‘The Bad Boy Of R&B (The Bobby Brown Story)”, written by Bobby Brown and budding filmmaker Michael A. Pinckney is making its rounds in Hollywood!

The story???? Here’s a synopsis of the script written back in November 2011!

Sex, Drugs, Women and the Original Bad Boy of R&B, a toxic mix. The Bad Boy of R&B is a classic tale of R&B sensation Bobby Brown’s meteoric rise from humble beginnings in Boston to the top of the R&B and Pop charts. His struggle with drugs, alcohol, women and a troubled marriage is a rocky journey and an inspirational one. One of hope redemption and the power of the human spirit. Having already accomplished more as a teenager than most men in a lifetime, Bobby must now face the greatest challenge of his life . . . .Take this emotional journey with the original Bad Boy of R&B as we fully exposes his faults contradictions in this in-depth story of his many triumphs, trials and tribulations. The film exposes Bobby’s darker side and puts his private demons on public display.

The script was penned by Bobby Brown and Black Noise Media’s Michael A. Pinckney in 2011. Michael says, ”I was connected to Bobby in 2010 through an actor friend Alfonso Lover, who’s in my other feature film. He expressed to me that Bobby was interested in having a movie written about his life. We talked and decided his life would make an amazing film. Like the movie Ray but for my generation. Bobby can finally tell his story”

Being that the script was written in 2011, it doesn’t seem like the Bobby Brown camp is trying to capitalize on Whitney’s death – but if Oprah can snatch Bobbi Kristina from her mourning to do an interview, and the producers of Whitney’s film Sparkle can scramble to release the film at an earlier date, then why not Bobby Brown shop his already completed script?

In regards to the recent passing of the late Whitney Houston, Pinckney shared several remarks on this very unfortunate tragedy.

We [Bobby Brown and I) actually wrote the script back in November and the movie lightly touches on their life & marriage together. We will now definitely have to go back in and revise the ending of the movie. This is such a sensitive subject which is why we did not push the fact that we have a script for the Bobby Brown story so soon. We definitely wanted to give it some time to disseminate just out of respect to the family, friends and fans of Whitney Houston.
