Last night, Mo’Nique Gabrille Union stepped out to eat at Katsuya in Hollywood. She looks great with her brown locks. With a smile like that, someone’s husband must be treatin’ her right! Ha!
Psych’s Dule Hill also dined at Katsuya in Hollywood last night with a mysterious female! Not sure if the swirl is in effect here – but Dule has been looking kinda rough around the edges lately. Hopefully the brotha’s not overworked – he’s surely not underpaid!
I think it’s great that these celebrities come out and want to bring awareness to the AIDS epidemic. I would be even greater if more celebrities with AIDS “came out” (a la Magic Johnson) to show the world that no one is invincible to the AIDS epidemic. And there is no shame.
I ain’t never really did this but right now I need all of my fans help. A lot of radio stations aren’t playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to. It’s on the fans and what you guys do in your power to bring me back. That’s all I need is you guys and nothing else will do that except for the fans.
I don’t know what else to say. It’s nothing else that I can do. I’m doing everything that I need to do. I’m doing me as a person and I’m a better guy.
It’s on ya’ll. My singing and my music I do it for you guys and everything else but it won’t be possible if I’m not relevant on the radio and it wouldn’t be possible for me to be an artist if I don’t have the support. I can’t be an underground mixtape artist. That’s where we are. I just want all my fans to help me. I love ya’ll. Peace.

For the record, I stan for both – but but Kelis was always original to me. Will she ever come back and be the Kelis we know and love?!
Boss! Thanks @NecoleBitchie!
Far be it from me to parse the motivations of the California schoolteachers who presented portraits of O.J. Simpson, Dennis Rodman and RuPaul during a Black History Month parade. Perhaps they were well-meaning, albeit misguided, in their efforts. Probably not. At any rate, there’s been (predictably) a great hue and cry from those charging that the contributions of black folks were being mocked.
I’d be the last person to defend O.J. (I’m convinced that he did it) or Dennis Rodman (clearly he’s got, shall we say, issues).
But I will, however, defend RuPaul, drag diva/author/singer/actor and host of Logo TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race. Why lump him in the same category as a convicted felon and a fallen basketball star who’s pled no contest to domestic abuse? Sporting stilettos and a blond wig while possessing no small quantities of testosterone does not prevent one from qualifying for black hero status.
