The fifth season of “Celebrity Apprentice” features no Atlantans for the first time since 2008 but will include its very first ‘American Idol” alum: Clay Aiken, according to People magazine. One of these two (on the cover of Rolling Stone 1989) will be on celebrity apprentice next year (hint: It’s not Leno).
This was reported weeks ago but it now looks like 100% for sure. Aiken’s music career has lost momentum over the years but he has kept himself in the spotlight with guest spots in recent years on “30 Rock,” “Phineas and Ferb,” and “Drop Dead Diva” as well as a stint on Broadway.
This reality show stint will give us the first chance to see him in a setting where he’s not singing, being interviewed or acting. I bet he’ll do well. He’s smart, engaging and creative.
