The peeps over at HipHollywood have learned that Justin Bieber was given the boot from this year’s BET Hip Hop awards! Apparently, the pop youngin’ attempted to enter the cypher with a ghost-written rhyme. Um, what?

I’m sure the reason why was because she ripped it on stage during the Prince tribute … unlike her counterpart Trey Songz who completely messed up “Purple Rain!” There’s something about Janelle that makes me want to be friends with her! LOL! Am I the only one??!!

The eyes say it all!

Last night I covered the 2010 BET Awards after party in West Hollywood at Cecconi’s!

Normally the location, is pretty high end [J.Lo, Tom Cruise, Will & Jada, Cameron Diaz etc frequent the place]. Of course last night it was ‘hood like every other place in town, and the police had to shut it down a little early.

So I watched Mr. Trey Songz stumble out of the club, having to be held up by three men! LOL! I wonder why he got so tore up! Maybe because of the Prince performance he completely ruined?? Or maybe because he got son’d by Patti LaBelle!! Either way that suit was fitting him just right so….if we can forgive Chris Brown, we can forgive Trey Songz for gurggling Purple Rain like it was Listerine!

Maybe they can make up for the epic fail that was the MJ tribute!!

NEW YORK — This month’s BET Awards will be a royal affair: Prince is getting a lifetime achievement honor. The 51-year-old joins the likes of James Brown, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross and Al Green in being honored by the BET Awards, which will celebrate its 10th year in Los Angeles on June 27.

BET says the Prince tribute will stand out. Stephen G. Hill, president of programming, music and specials for the network, said BET will celebrate the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s “unique style.”

“Prince is dynamic. Prince is genius. Prince is music,” Hill said of the performer, who has 10 platinum albums and 30 Top 40 singles to his name.

The BET show will be hosted by Queen Latifah and include performances by Kanye West.
