Dethroned paparazzi queen (Kim Kardashian is the obv. new queen) Paris Perez Hilton has set her sights on the music industry AGAIN…or at least so she says!
The heiress turned entrepreneur really really wants to make her mark within the music industry…let’s just hope her lip syncs are enough to get her through a few live performances!
Paris told the NewYork Post at the Google Music Sundance Venue:
It truly sucks that an artist will often see the best sales of their career after their death. Since her passing on January 20, Etta James’ music sales have risen 378% from the following week, with 30,000 albums sold.
The iconic singer also nets her highest-charting album ever with The Best of Etta James – 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection, which hit #46 on the Billboard 200 with 8,000 sold.
Etta James, 73, died from complications of Leukemia on January 20th. The Rhythm and Blues legend who suffered a long battle with Leukemia and Dementia was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. Etta’s sons Sametto and Donto James shared with the Jazz singer’s fans what her last moments where like.
Shortly after James’ death, Beyonce Knowles, who sung ‘At Last’ at the inaugural ball for President Obama, paid tribute through her site. “Etta James was one of the greatest vocalists of our time. I am so fortunate to have met such a queen.” Comedian Roseanne Barr was not very thrilled with Beyonce remembering the legendary singer – so much so that she blasted her on Twitter:
In a new interview, Brandy talks about comparisons to Beyonce but most IMPORTANTLY, she tells everyone to stop including her in stan wars:
“If you like Beyonce and Lady Gaga and Rihanna and not put them against each other, then you can enjoy all three….nobody can be Beyonce better than Beyonce.”
(via All Hip Hop)Jay-Z’s poem to his daughter Blue Ivy Carter suggested that he would no longer be using the word b**ch in his music, a story that has been making headlines around the world. The only problem is, the poem is a fake.
Jay-Z spoke to the New York Daily News during the star-studded reopening of his 40/40 Club in New York last night (January 18).
BeyonSLAY shows off her gorgeous ‘pregnancy’ glow in her latest L’Oreal ad!!
[Watch]
BeyonSLAY is also representing her Creole heritage earned from glamorous mother Tina Knowles! She makes sure you know she’s not just ’African-American’ but got some Native American and French in her too!
The promotional advertisement is on behalf of L’oreal Paris - True Match™ Super-Blendable Makeup which promotes a cleaner, truer and even more natural, patented color technology.
Personally, I think L’Oreal should count their blessings that Blue Ivy was seemingly in BeyonSLAYS womb (from the size of those tatas) and the fact that they got to showcase that beautiful pregnancy glow women get whilst being pregnant. This advertisement was amazing to watch, NOTHING more beautiful than a black (French, Native, etc), powerful, successful, and sexy woman!
Michelle Williams was quite the chatter box when asked about her first meeting with baby Blue Ivy.
The third DC member was among those who has already met Blue Ivy Carter, the singer’s first child with hubby Jay-Z, born in NYC on Jan. 7. She is absolutely gorgeous. We were all in love,” Williams, 31, (yeah, ok) told USA Today at Saturday’s BET Honors in Washington, D.C.
Female entertainer extraordinaire Beyoncé’s latest promotional advertisements for her album entitled ’4′ seems to be sparking controversy in regards to her skin tone!!
Is this photoshop? OR the many circulating rumours regarding the stage diva and her lightening processes!
A few months ago while walking down the red carpet at The 2011 Soul Train Awards Keri Hilson was being interviewed by Juicy magazine & was asked to hold one of their latest issues that Jay-Z & Beyonce on the cover & she turned down the offer. After seeing the video of it fans of King B called Hilson shady for what she did.
If that wasn’t enough proof that Keri strongly dislikes Mrs. Knowles-Carter here is the icing on the cake. VH1′s pop-up video revealed that while filming her “Pretty Girl Rock” video where she paid homage to TLC, The Supremes, Josephine Baker & more the director Joseph Kahn thought it would be a great idea for her to pay tribute to Beyonce but she was totally against the idea.
The pop up doesn’t lie!
After so much evidence has been shown it makes one wonder why exactly Keri Hilson has no love for Beyonce who has paved & continuing to pave the way for her c-list career!
