Eminem‘s Shady Records label was quite the monster in the early 2000s thanks to platinum albums from the likes of 50 Cent and D12. But just as Marshall reestablished his career with the release of his 2009 LP, Relapse, he also is out to revamp his imprint, with signees Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf.
Dr. Dre and Eminem will be premiering their third single off the “Detox” album Dre keeps lying talking about.
Beats By Dre innovator Dr. Dre promises on “I Need A Doctor” that he’s packing up his bags after “one more CD” — one would assume the eternally-unreleased Detox — but ahead of the iconic rapper/producer’s exit from the world of hip hop, there is, of course, more music to be heard off said final disc. And, surprise — this coming Friday (May 6) will bring the third single off Detox, the Eminem collab “Die Hard.”
Superstar Mariah Carey and soon to be mother is leaving Universal Music group and returning back to Sony Music. She originally left Sony Music in 2000 after her relationship with Tommy Mottola failed, who was the head of the label at the time, but she has a long history with Sony. I think this is a great move for Mariah, being that L.A. Reid is leaving also and they did great work together.
Mariah has 1 more album to release with Universal before she returns to Sony and it will be out by the end of this year. I hope she goes out with a bang!

Eminem’s new album Recovery will drop on June 21, a day earlier than originally scheduled, and it will arrive with “Talkin’ 2 Myself,” a banger on which Em raps about nearly releasing a dis track aimed at Kanye and Lil Wayne.

LONDON — Elton John says he has been helping American rapper Eminen fight drug problems for more than a year. John says Eminem is succeeding in his well-publicized battle against substance abuse. John told BBC Radio Saturday that as a recovered drug abuser he is happy to help people if they want the assistance but drugs make people so cocky and arrogant that they often reject help. Eminem has written about his substance abuse problems in the past.

Eminem has agreed to cut-out any homophobic lyrics when he headlines a UK music festival next year. The rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, will be performing at the Wireless Festival in July, 2010 and faced a backlash from gay rights activists OutRage! over some of his song words. But Eminem has now agreed to tone down his lyrics.
OutRage! spokesman David Allison says in a statement: “We have a condition that he does not use lyrics that encourage or incite hatred against gay people.
“He is free to express his views on gay people, as long as he stays off the violence and hatred. He has got plenty of other lyrics to choose from. In recent years he has become quite well-behaved. I think he realises singing songs advocating hate and violence just won’t wash any more. Society’s moved on in the last 10 years.”
He was however allowed to keep lyrics that encourage or incite hatred against non gay people and Mariah Carey.
