I’m starting to think there’s something in the water. Kristin Cavallari and fiance Jay Cutler are expecting their first child together!

The Dancing with the Stars contestant started the year on a positive note. In November 2011 Kristin and her Chicago Bears quarterback reconciled after briefly ending their engagement in July. Rumors surfaced that Jay wanted to start a family and hoped to squeeze out Kristin’s partying ways. It took a few months for a couple to get it back together and by January they were back on track to planning a wedding.

The 69-year-old Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, is engaged to her twenty plus years friend, William “Willie” Wilkerson.

Aretha and the former Detroit firefighter are contemplating their upcoming summer destination wedding in Miami Beach, Florida with an exclusive reception aboard a private yacht. On the cusp of a health scare resulting in 85 pounds lost last year, Aretha can expect to look the part of a slim, blushing bride with the help of some top designer names. Her rep dished to People, “Ms. Franklin is considering Donna Karan, Valentino and the queen of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, to design her gown.”

The Queen of Soul has announced her engagement to her “forever friend” William ‘Willie’ Wilkerson.

“Ordinary People” soul singer John Legend is doing something extraordinary – he’s getting married…to a woman!!!

“John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives,” Legend’s rep, Cindi Berger, tells PEOPLE. No further details were provided, but Legend’s whereabouts this coming weekend are being reported in Las Vegas newspapers.

The singer, 32, will be performing at The Pearl at the Palms on New Year’s Eve. His latest album, with The Roots, is Wake Up! – which is exactly my advice to Chrissy!
