Nas has one his first award … an Emmy?

Nas recently won a National Sports Emmy for his ESPN documentary, “Survival 1.” The film documents the real struggle after-math of the Liberian civil war — which has been going for over two decades and finally ended in ’03 — as it follows two amputee victims, Richard and Joseph, who forms a Liberian Amputee Soccer Team and score ultimate victory, becoming champions.

Los Angeles Lakers champion Ron Artest has been making the rounds in L.A. all summer…and now he makes the latest cover of ESPN the Magazine. The Queensbridge native took a moment to play sports interviewer…interviewing himself! Check it out…

Ron Ron is ready-made for L.A.! Dude has been on every talk show…(damn near naked on Jimmy Kimmel Live), played dodgeball at a local L.A. gym and volleyball with locals at Venice Beach!

SNL comedian Seth Meyers was loaded with jokey jokes last night as he hosted the 2010 Espy Awards…he started off slow but picked up steam and snowballed into a monologue that had the star-studded crowd LOL’d!! This was the joke of the night…

But jonsin’ on the Kardashians (sorry Reggie!) wasn’t Meyers only gem. Here were a few more…

He went out on Tiger Woods: “Carlos Boozer signed for $80 Million with the Bulls, Amare signed for $100 million with the Knicks, but we all know which free agent is making the most money this summer… Elin Nordegren.”

Meyers even had a message of encourgement for Clevelanders still smarting over LeBron’s departure: “Don’t worry Cleveland fans. So what that LeBron isn’t on your roster? Practically every NBA championship team didn’t have LeBron on its roster.” COLD!

Most missed the shot he took at Greg Oden’s internet penis display and Brett Favre’s wife Deanna didn’t particularly enjoy his ‘old’ jokes about her husband, but overall Seth was good. His “Jesus” joke towards highly religious QB Tim Tebow was particularly funny as well.
