READY FOR EVE’S COMEBACK??

Eve’s last album, EVE-Olution, was released 10 years ago, her last film role was in 2009, and other than a few guest verses here or appearances there, it is safe to say that she’s been missing from the Hip-Hop world.

Fast-forward to now, and things have changed. Eve is in the process of finishing her fourth studio album, she just wrapped a new film, still has her hand, or should we say, foot, in the fashion industry, and is preparing to release her first two books. All of this, and more, is on tap for 2012.

EVE: “IF I WAS KIM’S FRIEND I’D BE LIKE YO”!?!

 While speaking with Tim Westwood of BBC1 recently, Eve discussed her feelings on the ongoing beef between Lil Kim and rapper Nicki Minaj. 

I need her to stop. If I was Kim’s friend, I’d be like, yo. Because she’s Kim, period, So she never has to feed. She shouldn’t. It’s bad. It’s not a good look. If I was her friend, I’d tell her, yo, just come back bigger and better. The best way to get at people is to do you better than you’ve ever done you. So that’s it…I love it. You know, it’s definitely a nice group of females that’s out representing, but because I come from hip-hop, I need more females in hip-hop.

Check out a behind the scenes look at the making of Jill Scott’s “Shame” video featuring Eve and The A Group!

Eve, Black Thought of The Roots, Maybach Music’s Meek Mils and a host of other Philadelphians can be spotted in this first look from her forthcoming album Light of the Sun, out June 28th. Miss Scott has been doing more acting than anything and at one point seemed to have forgotten her soul roots. Hopefully this album will give us everything we love about Jill Scott! ‘Who Is Jill Scott?’ is still my all time favorite.

Maybe because I was in college and the whole experience living in DC and the emergence of neo-soul at that time was extremely powerful!

So I get this video in my inbox from FunnyorDie with Brandon T. Jackson and Eve doing a spoof of New Moon. I was excited because I am a Jackson fan, and used to work on the “Eve” show.

But after watching the parody, it feels a little dated and overused. I mean who hasn’t done a New Moon spoof at this point!? What do you think?
