The Knowles/Carter Family Holiday In The UK!

Well more like a working Holiday…

Beyonce and husband rap mogul Jay-Z are planning to pack up four-month-old daughter Blue Ivy and spend the summer in London as Jay and rapper-designer Kanye West tour in Europe.

The couple has reportedly purchased a 5-bedroom apartment, so they won’t have to call a swanky hotel home for the entire summer. “Both Jay-Z and Beyoncé are going to be spending a lot of time in London over the next few months Jay is over here for his Watch The Throne Tour and Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Beyonce will be launching her perfume in Europe over the summer,” according to Global Grind. Instead of making a big purchase, Jay opted to rent an entire floor of the Lanesborough hotel.

Met Gala A Star Studded Affair!

Stars shined brightly at the  Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala in New York on Monday.

Rihanna slipped into a stretchy black Tom Ford dress with Repossi jewelry. “I love coming to the Met Ball. It’s a fun event,” said the “Where Have You Been” singer. “You get dressed up, have some nice dinner, and have some entertainment.”

Jay-Z Assures Blue Ivy Will Be “The Worst Spoiled Little Kid Ever”

Jay-Z, appearing on Oprah Winfrey‘s Oprah’s Master Class: Special Edition Sunday, admits he’s probably going to be quite the pushover parent when it comes to taking care of his daughter Blue Ivy.

“I imagine I’ll take things I learned from my mom and things I’ve learned from raising my nephews and apply that,” Jay-Z said. “Then at the end of the day, I just know I’ll probably have the worst spoiled little kid ever.”

Beyonce Wins …Journalism Award?

Beyonce Knowles has run into a bit of criticism, again. No not for wearing loafers. People’s “Most Beautiful Woman In the World” this year, was awarded by the New York chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. Mrs. Carter  placed first in the arts and entertainment magazine category for her “Eat, Play, Love” piece she wrote for Essence magazine and some are not too happy about it.

The now-awarded piece provided insight into the “Love On Top” singer’s nine-month hiatus from music in 2010 before she returned to the studio to record her successful “4” album.

While Jay-Z was in Texas for SXSW, his mother-in-law Tina Knowles helped look after her granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter.

The paparazzi clamored to get a shot of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s two-month-old daughter as her mother and grandmother took her out for a stroll around Manhattan on Monday. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat, blazer, patterned trousers, and loafers, the always chic Beyoncé held Blue close to her chest in a carrier with her legs dangling out. Just the night before, Beyoncé and Jay-Z snuck out to catch The-Dream’s “Kill the Lights” show in New York City.
