QUEEN LATIFAH: DON’T CALL ME PLUS SIZE!!

Queen Latifah is the latest celebrity to launch a clothing line with HSN and she wants you to know that it’s not a plus- size line!

While promoting her new clothing line with HSN, Latifah said “[plus –size] is a word we need to bury at this point” noting that her new line will be for all sizes. “The truth is, we all would like to wear the same clothes. We all want to wear beautiful, fly clothes no matter what size you are, and so for me it was important to match with a company that understood and respected that ideal.”

EBONY Magazine unveils the 25 HOTTEST artists of 2011, including Maxwell, Drake and Willow Smith. On the cover and in the pages, Jill Scott flaunts her 50-pound-lighter frame photographed in a captivating shoot by Steven Gomillion and Dennis Leupold.

Meanwhile, the Grammy Award-winner’s first CD and video in four years hits the airwaves. EBONY contributor Dream Hampton sits down with Scott, who opens up about the knock-down, drag-out battle with her former fiancé, her move from Hidden Beach Records and her 2-year-old son.

Eve, Black Thought of The Roots, Maybach Music’s Meek Mils and a host of other Philadelphians can be spotted in this first look from her forthcoming album Light of the Sun, out June 28th. Miss Scott has been doing more acting than anything and at one point seemed to have forgotten her soul roots. Hopefully this album will give us everything we love about Jill Scott! ‘Who Is Jill Scott?’ is still my all time favorite.

Maybe because I was in college and the whole experience living in DC and the emergence of neo-soul at that time was extremely powerful!
