Over the course of his career, he has had incredible highs (his production work on Jay-Z’s The Blueprint, his hotly-anticipated debut The College Dropout, smash jams like “Stronger” and “Jesus Walks”) and his share of lows (the car accident that broke his jaw, the tragic passing of his mother, the aftermath of the notorious Taylor Swift incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards).

Will Kanye West be allowed at the Clooney-helmed Haiti telethon airing this Friday?

A source close to the situation says Kanye was invited to the event, but just “didn’t want to do it.” But, once MTV booked Jay-Z, then Kanye all of a sudden decided he wanted to participate!

Apparently there’s only room for one hip hip diva at MTV, because the organizers apparently told Kanye, “[Sorry boo] we’ve already got Jay-Z!” POW!
