A few weeks ago you Tweeted about your relationship with God. How would you describe your current relationship with God and how does it help you in the music business?
My relationship with God is one of the most important things in my life. I know if you looked at my career and you judged certain things that I’ve said and done, you would say “OMG, I can’t believe that, she’s such a hypocrite”. I never go to bed without praying. I never wake up and start my day without praying; I can feel his presence in my everyday life, just from little things that are happening. My relationship with God is very important. I don’t want to get all heavy but I know how I got where I am, I know how I got here and I know he’ll be with me when it’s all over. This life that I’ve been given, I don’t take for granted whatsoever. People that know me know who I am.
