New York newcomer Amar’e Stoudemire is getting really comfy with his new NBA city. The 6’10″ Knick power forward has been making the rounds this week at New York’s Fashion Week activities…

Amar’e hit up the Hugo Boss store, chilled with teammates Anthony Randolph and Kelenna Azubuike, dabbled with trying on different wardrobes and hit up the runway events. Dude really is into fashion (can’t you tell?) That’s cool and all but New York Knick fans are looking for a little playoff fashion this year. Let’s hope Amar’e can fit into some of that!

Amar’e Stoudemire is having the summer of his life! After getting the Phoenix Suns to the Western Conference finals last spring, Amar’e has become a free agent, signed a lucrative deal with the Knicks, and traveled to Israel to explore his Jewish roots. Now dude is chillin’ at DisneyWorld with Mickey Mouse!

Obviously, “A-Stat” (as Stoudemire is sometimes known) enjoys the idea of playing for the Knicks and living in New York City. And when Melo gets there, he’s really gonna have fun! His summer has been a pleasant one, for sure. Isn’t this the way a certain somebody’s summer was supposed to go? Looks like Amar’e is the NBA free agent whose summer was the one fit for a king…not that other guy!

Amare Stoudemire is putting in a strong bid to be the King of New York! The Knicks new acquisition took to Times Square and 7th Avenue today on a double-decker tour bus…

Amare took pics of the gigantic billboard containing his likeness and tweeted that he stopped and picked up some friends along the way. My manz is obviously enjoying his summer in the city…as well he should.

Just remember, Stat-Man…to BE the King of New York, you’re gonna have to WIN in New York! Falls & winters can be very different here!

AMARE STOUDEMIRE AGREES ON $100M DEAL TO JOIN NY KNICKS!!

Free Agent forward Amare Stoudemire has agreed to a 5-year, $100 million deal in principal to join the New York Knicks next season.

Amare becomes the first big name free agent this summer to switch teams and in the process gives the Knicks their first star-powered player in a decade when Patrick Ewing was in New York.

Although Stoudemire cannot sign a contract until next Thursday when next season’s NBA salary cap is set, he is officially headed to the Big Apple and vows to help the Knicks bring in other high profile players like Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade or perhaps even LeBron James.

“Totally comfortable, totally confident that my leadership qualities will uplift all of us to do something great this upcoming season,” Stoudemire said. “So again, the Knicks are back.”

Yes…the Knicks are making inroads. Amare’s presence in New York will likely lure other big name players to the Big Apple…if not this season certainly in the short future. The big city of dreams may be finally headed out of its Knicks nightmare. Getting Amare was a good first step.

I beg to differ…SOMEBODY will be disappointed!!

The Summer of LeBron is now underway as representatives from the New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks met with King James and his brain trust this afternoon in Cleveland.

Word has it that Jay-Z, Nets owner Mikhail Prohorov and new coach Avery Johnson were on hand for the Nets…while Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni and former player Allan Houston repped for New York.

Reports are that all went well but LeBron provided no feedback on either the Nets presentation or the Knicks pitch. James is obviously being very methodical in his approach and playing this thing close to the chest. He will meet with reps from Miami, Chicago, L.A. Clippers and his own Cavaliers in the coming days. LeBron-a-Thon carries on…what do you think? What team will LeBron decide to play for?

King James…so many decisions, so little time!!

Word has it that LeBron James was recently in New York checking out an apartment in the Time Warner Center in Manhattan…the very same apartment that New York Magazine suggested LeBron consider for his New York home…if he was to join the Knicks! Check out pics…

Above are shots of the stunningly exclusive three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom unit.

The 63rd floor apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows, an eat-in kitchen, and is available for a mere $14.95 million, or $45,000 a month in rent!! DAY-UMM!!!

Knick fans try not to get too excited. The King was only inquiring. We cannot rule out the Knicks from landing LeBron, but so-called “experts” are predicting King James will land in Chicago or Miami…if not back in Cleveland. Tomorrow is Armageddon!!!
