Bringing an incredible season to a memorable end, “The X Factor” went out with a bang last night (December 22) as Melanie Amaro was named the champion.
The evening kicked off with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Nicole Scherzinger showing up at CBS Television City in Los Angeles ahead of the big announcement and during the course of the night, big stars like 50 Cent, Justin Bieber, and Stevie Wonder all took the stage to show off their performing chops before a sold out audience.

It’s times like these that makes me wish I had a couple million laying around. The Grammy award winning artist and my musical mentor ( he just doesn’t know it yet) revealed to TMZ that he needs investors to help release 32 new chapters of his hip hop soap opera ‘Trapped in the Closet’.
The ongoing saga which already includes 22 chapters follows the character Sylvester, a man who’s world was turned upside down when after he began an affair with a married woman. As the camera woman reveals to Kelly that the saga was one of her favorite things he responds with the real inspiration behind the saga:
R. Kelly returned to the stage for the first time since his throat surgery to sing a duet with X Factor finalist Melanie Amaro.
Amaro has remained the frontrunner throughout the talent competition wowing us with hits like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey’s ‘When You Believe’ and killing her individual performance of Beyonce‘s ‘Listen’ but when R. Kelly took the stage to do the I Believe I Can Fly duet Melanie almost disappeared, I mean come on, he is R. Kelly. L.A Reid said of Amaro’s performance,“I felt like you got a little bit overshadowed by R. Kelly. I expect more from you.”
To all the hater’s that thought R. Kelly was down for the count, this song’s for you!
R. Kelly tweeted a brand new, incredibly specific song to his fans, appropriately titled “Shut Up”. After his very direct opening shout-out (”This song goes out to all the people out there be runnin’ their mouth / And they don’t know what they’re saying / shut up”), Kelly touches on his recent throat surgery, getting his voice back, and thanks God for keeping the doctors focused during his surgery.
I rather call this a diary set to music rather then a song. I can’t wait for his autobiography Soula Coaster: The Diary Of Me (sitting by the door fully clothed with hat, coat and scarf, biting my nails waiting for the release). Check out “Shut Up” below:

Keith Urban is going to have throat surgery later this month to have a polyp removed from his vocal cords, and he has been forced to postpone his All for the Hall concert benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
At first I was skeptical about the remake of one of my favorite movies, “Sparkle” but now I can’t wait to see it! According to Entertainment Weekly, Cee-Lo has joined the cast as an opening act in one of the movie’s many performance sequences.
This version of Sparkle will be directed by Salim Akil and written by his wife, Mara Brock Akil. The leading ladies, who will play sisters in the film, include Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter and Jordin Sparks.
Thankfully feeling better after undergoing throat surgery, R. Kelly is ready to release his 11th studio album, and has revealed that his new set of inevitably naughty-minded tunes will called Black Panties.
The lead single will be a song called “10 Minutes” — is that in reference to how long before Kells disrobes you of said panties? The LP has gone through various name changes, from Zodiac to The Return of 12 Play: Night of the Living Dead, but c’mon now — Black Panties is obviously the best choice for an R. Kelly album, right?.

CHICAGO • R&B star R. Kelly has been hospitalized after emergency throat surgery in Chicago, forcing him to give up performing for an unknown period while he recuperates, the singer’s spokesman said Wednesday.
Kelly, 44, had complained of throat pain and was rushed on Tuesday to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where surgeons the same day drained an abscess on one of his tonsils, spokesman Allan Mayer said.
Looks like Kells should have sent a “Radio Messgae” to his accountant.
According to Crain’s Business Chicago, Kelly is facing a $2.9 million foreclosure lawsuit on his suburban Chicago mansion over claims that he has failed to make mortgage payments on the home since June 2010.
The suit was filed in Cook County Circuit Court last month by JPMorgan Chase Bank over the 11,140-square-foot home built by Kelly in the south suburb 11 years ago. Kelly has reportedly not lived in the home for more than a year and he is said to have stopped making payments on the mortgage in an attempt to force the bank to negotiate a loan modification on the 3.7-acre property, which has six full bathrooms, seven half bathrooms and a four-car garage.
