Cory Gunz Releases Statement On Arrest: It’s Been Really Hard!
(Source) Following his arrest Cory Gunz spoke with the NY Daily News, giving a vague but remorseful statement. The YMCMB artist was arrested Saturday on the corner of Westchester Ave. and Ward Ave in the Bronx for carrying an unregistered .9mm handgun. Below is Cory’s statement to the NY Daily News.
“This was a bigmistake on my part. I didn’t have any intentions of harming anyone or committing a criminal activity. So many young people look up to me and I need to fight though this. It’s been really hard, really stressful. When the smoke finally clears people will understand what was going on.”
What I don’t get is while he was carrying an illegal firearm?? He has no criminal record, why didn’t he just register one? I am told in New York there is a minimum, mandatory 3.5 year sentence for this crime!
